“ABOUT” ~ so what is this website about and why does it exist?

In 2009 I got a great job opportunity that required to pack my bags and move to a different country.

From Germany to China. Two worlds and two completely different cultures.

The initial plan to stay for 2 or 3 years was quickly put aside and I’m now in my 11th year here in Shanghai.
The decision to move to China turned out to be a life changer and the best experience that happened in my life.
It was the beginning of awesome adventures, great trips, new friendships, experiencing new cultures and of course many ups & downs along the journey.

To capture some of the moments I started to create this website and share parts of my adventures, life in Shanghai, hobbies and thoughts.

Enjoy, have fun, stay curious and follow me on my TRAVEL blog around the world, read my JOURNAL, DIY stuff and my new passion: DIVING!
