{SHANGHAI ~ December 12, 2017}
It is the time of the year where I wish the weekend has 5 days! My x-mas to-do list is always the longest and for 2017 I really wanted to arts-and-craft the hell out of it! The internet is full with Christmas lettering inspirations, DIY-wrapping, cards and gifts. So many things I can do, so many ideas, inspirations, really cool stuff – and this year will be different because this year I will start EARLIER!
Inspired by all the DIY-bloggers of this world I started my 2017 Christmas arts-and-craft-project with Christmas cards, gift tags, wrapping paper and envelopes. I decided to go for one “theme”: The Little Christmas-Bird.
Inspiration and source is from Frau Annika‘s “Das grosse Buch der Schmuckelemente” and here is the outcome:
I draw the little bird on paper and scanned it in. I put over vector lined in adobe Illustrator and printed everything on thick cards and folded cards.
For coloring of the little red hats I used TOMBOW brush pens.
A special Christmas card for my brother and his family who soon be 4.
For coloring I used Faber-Castell aquarelle pencils.
2-in-1 card: Christmas wishes and baby wishes! All colors with Faber-Castell aquarelle pencils.
The full set of The Little Christmas-Bird: cards, folded cards, gift tags.
Gifts are bought and ready to be wrapped!
Finally it’s Christmas Day! Christmas tree, Christmas gifts and The Little Christmas-Bird under the tree!
Merry Christmas!
